About Us

Phil Ledford graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky and apprenticed to master furniture maker Kelly Mehler before returning to his home in the mountains of western North Carolina to open his custom furniture studio.  In addition to designing and building furniture for families and interior designers, Phil taught woodworking classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC. After moving to the beautiful North Carolina coast Phil's new shop continues to provide outstanding customer service and unique woodworking creations.

Phil has a deep appreciation for the traditional woodworking education he received.  He started  Atlantic Woodworks to create custom furniture and architectural woodwork for individuals and the trade.
